DONATE The generous Donations received from Individuals allow us to purchase much needed safety equipment and to help maintain the current equipment we have. Although the Department receives financial assistance from the communities it primarily serves, the total expenses incurred are much greater than what is received from the local governments. Sussex Fire Department is a 501©(4) Non-Profit organization, any contributions or gifts given to tax exempt volunteer fire companies for exclusively public purposes are deductible under section 170©(1) of the IRS code.
